Junior High Baseball Rules - 7th & 8th Grades

1. Ohio High school rules will be in force unless exceptions are listed.
2. All players have to be enrolled in the junior high they are playing.
3. A –3 bat must be used at the 8^th grade level
4. A –5 bat may be used at the 7^th grade level
5. All games must be played on a regulation high school field
6. Any coach or player ejected from a game will receive the same two game suspension received at the high school level.  Second offense will receive a suspension for the remainder of the season.
7. Umpire fee is $35.00 for the league. Each school will pay for half of the umpire fees.  The home team is responsible for hiring of the umpire.
8. Any team that fails to show up for a game without notice will be responsible for all fees for the umpires for one game.    
9. Any changes to the schedule must be done at the agreement of both coaches, with notice to the schedule maker.
10. Rainouts should be made up at the convenience of both coaches. 
11. Due to the expansion of the league, geographic divisions will be developed. Rivalries and distance will be considered in the development of the schedule.  You must play all divisional games, as this will decide your placement in the tournament.
